Ways to Win Explained

Valley of the Dead offers between 45 and 3125 ways to win. A win occurs if the same symbol lands on three, four, or five adjacent reels from the left. If multiple instances of a symbol appear on a reel, these multiply the total win. For example, if the first, second, and third reels have 2, 3, and 2 matching symbols respectively, the multiplier equals 2 x 3 x 2 = 12. The paytable shows all payouts for combinations of three, four, and five symbols. Simultaneous wins on different ways are combined, but only the highest win per way is paid.

Features: BoltLock Blockers and Skull Collection

BoltLock Blockers

Twelve BoltLock blockers featuring a Skull icon can cover the reels. Each time a winning combination lands, every winning symbol releases a white Skull to destroy a BoltLock blocker. When all blockers are cleared, features such as Win Multipliers and Extra Lives are activated. The blockers reset to their original positions once respins conclude and total winnings are added to your balance.

Respins

Whenever a spin results in a win, it triggers a respin. As long as winning combinations continue to land, respins will keep going, played at the same bet as your initial triggering spin.

Extra Lives Feature

Once BoltLock blockers are all destroyed, you earn one extra life. Red Skulls, which come from winning warm-coloured symbols, contribute to the Lives feature—each set of 5 red Skulls collected awards one extra life. Lives can be accumulated, and with each losing respin, one life will be consumed to grant an additional respin. When the supply of lives runs out and no win occurs, the respins finish.

Win Multipliers Feature

Clearing all blockers also unlocks Win Multipliers. Blue Skulls, appearing from winning cold-coloured symbols, increase the multiplier by one for every five collected. Multipliers from respins are applied to the win directly after they are awarded, not to the activating spin. When no more wins are present and there are no extra lives left, total winnings are added to your balance.

Handling Wins and Rounding

If a payout results in a fraction of a cent, winnings are rounded fairly to the nearest cent: values like 0.024 round to 0.02, while 0.048 round to 0.05. When a result falls exactly between two values (e.g. 2.5), rounding is to the nearest even cent. For example: 1.5, 3.5, 5.5, 7.5, and 9.5 round up; 0.5, 2.5, 4.5, 6.5, and 8.5 round down. The total win for a game session is equal to the sum of all rounded winnings according to the paytable.
