Getting Started with Shields of Lambda
Overview of the Game
Shields of Lambda offers a 5-reel, 5-row layout and operates on a cluster-pay mechanic for wins. The game includes distinctive features such as the Lambda Meter, the Unity feature with tumbling reels, the Colossal Wild feature, and Ferryman’s Free Spins.
The Return to Player (RTP) rate is displayed within the game interface.
Understanding Symbols and Features
Wild Symbol
The Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols apart from the Scatter symbol, making it easier to form winning clusters.
Lambda Symbol
Lambda symbols can randomly appear on the reels. When you achieve a win, any Lambda symbol located beneath the winning symbols is collected and added to the Lambda Meter.
Scatter Symbol
Landing three or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the base game reels awards Ferryman’s Free Spins. For each additional Scatter above the minimum, you receive five extra free spins.
Exploring the Game Features
Ferryman’s Free Spins
If you land three or more Scatter symbols in the base game, you unlock Ferryman’s Free Spins. Each Scatter over the initial three adds five extra free spins. While playing Free Spins, you can retrigger additional free spins within this feature.
Ferryman’s Free Spins incorporate the Lambda Meter, Unity feature, and Colossal Wild, just as in the base game.
During the Unity feature within Free Spins, a progressive multiplier is applied to all your wins. This multiplier increases by one with every winning tumble and does not have an upper limit. If the Unity feature is retriggered, the multiplier does not reset between features.
You have the option to potentially increase your number of Free Spins with the Gamble feature. If you triggered Ferryman’s Free Spins with fewer than five Scatter symbols, you can gamble your entry for a chance to gain five more free spins, up to a maximum of 20 Free Spins. If the gamble is unsuccessful, all awarded Free Spins are forfeited and the game round ends. You may choose to claim your Free Spins at any point.
Colossal Wild Feature
On spins that do not result in a win, the Colossal Wild can randomly activate. A 2x2 Wild symbol will be placed on the reels and any resulting wins are then evaluated. Lambda symbols collected during this feature also contribute to filling the Lambda Meter.
Lambda Meter
The Lambda Meter tracks your progress as you collect Lambda symbols during wins. In the base game, you need to collect 70 Lambda symbols to fill the meter, while in Ferryman’s Free Spins, 20 Lambda symbols are required. Once filled, the Unity feature is triggered. The Lambda Meter is tied to your chosen bet level and progress is saved between sessions. Any extra Lambda symbols collected beyond what is required will carry over to the next cycle of the meter.
Unity Feature
When the Lambda Meter is filled, the Unity feature is activated. The game selects one random low-paying symbol to cover the grid, pays out any wins, then applies tumbling reels with the next symbol in order. This continues until there are no more wins from symbol cascades. The Lambda Meter is also filled during the Unity feature.
Gamble Feature
If you unlock Ferryman’s Free Spins with fewer than five Scatters, you can choose to gamble for a chance at five extra free spins. Winning the gamble awards the extra spins, while losing ends the free spin round with no winnings. You may also choose to collect your current tally of free spins instead.
How to Play Shields of Lambda
Basic Steps
- Select your total bet amount.
- Press the Spin button to start the game round.
- View your winnings in the Win field after each round.

Placing Your Bet
The total bet value can be seen in the Total Bet display. Click or tap this display to adjust your total bet.
Spinning the Reels
Start each round by pressing the Spin symbol button.
Checking Wins
All winnings for each game round are shown in the Win field. Winning amounts in Free Spins are displayed per spin, while the total accumulated win for the bonus round is shown in the Total Win field.
All symbol values are available within the paytable, and payouts will match your current bet. Wins are achieved by creating clusters of adjacent matching symbols, with only the highest win per cluster paid.
Accessing the Paytable
Full details of all winning combinations can be viewed in the paytable by selecting the 'i' button from the keypad menu.
Settings and Controls
Desktop Version
On desktop, you can adjust the following settings from the panel at the lower left of the game:
- Sound: Mute or enable game sounds and music.
- Use Space for Spin: Enable spinning the reels using your keyboard's space bar.
- Show Splash Screen on Start-Up: Toggle whether you see the splash screen when the game loads.
Mobile Version
- Use the Home symbol to return to the game lobby.
- Access game controls to change your total bet.
- Open client settings via the settings icon in the side panel.
- Sound: Enable or disable music and sound effects.
- Replay: View your gameplay history.
- Paytable: Access the game’s paytable.
- Game Rules: Open the rules menu using the '?' symbol.
General Rules
- If a malfunction occurs, all pays and plays are voided.
- Should a game remain incomplete, it will be automatically resolved after two days. Any winnings from auto-resolution are credited to the account.
