Getting Started with Rise of Olympus

Rise of Olympus is a video slot developed by Play'n GO, featuring a 5x5 grid. The game is played by placing a wager from £0.20 up to £5.00 per round. All wins and outcomes are determined by the symbols landing on the grid, according to the paytable and game rules.

Bets are selected using the plus and minus buttons or by choosing from preset options at the bottom of the game screen. Once your bet is set, press 'START' to begin the round. The current return to player (RTP) is displayed within the game.

Understanding How Wins Work

Wins are awarded for landing clusters of matching symbols that touch each other vertically or horizontally, with no gaps in between. Clusters can start from any position on the grid. If several clusters are formed in one round, their payouts are combined. Only the highest win is paid for each winning symbol combination, and all wins are credited at the end of the round.

Cascading Mechanics

After a winning cluster is paid, the symbols are removed from the grid and the remaining symbols fall down to fill the gaps. New winning clusters can then form and, if so, the process repeats. Each new cascade increases the win multiplier for that round.

Wilds and Symbols

The coin symbol acts as the wild, substituting for any other symbol to help form winning combinations. Wilds are added to the grid when a winning combination of three symbols is removed. If wilds are the only symbols left, they are cleared from the grid, which may help trigger the Free Spins feature.

Other symbols include the helmet, trident, and screw, alongside the faces of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Combinations of these award prizes as shown in the paytable.

Special Features in Play

Hand of God

The Hand of God feature may be triggered randomly after a non-winning spin. The ability used depends on which god (Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades) is currently active at the side of the reels:

  • Hades: Selects a set of symbols and transforms them into other symbols.
  • Poseidon: Adds one or two wild symbols to the grid.
  • Zeus: Removes two sets of symbols from the grid.

Wrath of Olympus

The on-screen meter is filled by winning with the god symbols (Hades, Poseidon, Zeus), and filling the meter awards the Wrath of Olympus feature. Each god symbol win fills the meter: three of a kind fills one section, four fills two, and five fills three. When the gauge is full and no wins remain, Wrath of Olympus is triggered, granting a free spin. For this feature, all three Hand of God abilities activate in a set sequence, helping to form additional wins. This sequence continues until no further wins occur. At the end, the god shown before activation becomes active again. The win multiplier resets after each Wrath of Olympus feature.

Free Spins Feature

Clearing the entire grid in one round unlocks the Free Spins round. At this point, you may select one of three options:

  • Hades: Awards 4 Free Spins, with Hades' Hand of God active on every non-winning spin.
  • Poseidon: Awards 5 Free Spins, with Poseidon's Hand of God active on every non-winning spin.
  • Zeus: Awards 8 Free Spins, with Zeus' Hand of God active on every non-winning spin.

The drop multiplier does not reset during Free Spins and can reach up to x20. The round can be extended by refilling the on-screen meter: Hades adds 4 extra spins, Poseidon adds 3, and Zeus adds 2, up to a maximum of 20 Free Spins.

If the grid is cleared during a Free Spin, you receive an instant prize worth 100x your total bet. The Wrath of Olympus feature is not available during Free Spins.

Betting and Game Controls

  • Modify Bet: Use the plus, minus, or preset bet buttons to select your wager amount.
  • Payout Table: Access the payout information to review symbol rewards.
  • Start / Space Bar: Begin a new game round with your selected bet.
  • Automatically Adjust Bet: If your balance is too low to fund your selected bet, the game automatically lowers the bet to the highest available level for your balance. The bet remains lowered until you choose to increase it again.

What Happens with Unfinished Games?

If the game is interrupted, all current bets and game state will be saved. When you reopen the game, you can resume play from where you left off. If unresolved bets from incomplete games are not settled within 2 days, they will be voided. Any technical faults or malfunctions may nullify all game rounds and payouts.
