Getting Started with Rise of Merlin

How to Play Rise of Merlin

To begin, select your bet using the plus and minus buttons. Your bet applies to all 10 paylines, which are always activated in order from 1 to 10. After setting your desired wager, click the Spin button to start the round. When the reels come to a stop, winnings are awarded based on the combinations shown and are calculated according to the paytable and game rules.

When you achieve wins on multiple paylines during a single round, the total of all those wins is added together. Any winnings from features such as Free Spins or Scatters are also included in your total win for that round. All payouts are made once the round ends. Understanding Symbols and Features

In Rise of Merlin, the Scatter symbol also serves as the Wild symbol, substituting for all other symbols on the reels. Landing three or more Scatter symbols in a single round triggers the Free Spins feature.

Free Spins Feature

  • Three or more Scatter symbols award 8 Free Spins.
  • During Free Spins, one regular symbol (excluding the Scatter) is randomly chosen to become a special Expanding Symbol.
  • If enough of the selected symbol appears on the reels, it expands to fill the entire reel, maximising your potential combinations. These symbols do not need to be on adjacent reels to award wins.
  • Landing three or more Scatter symbols during the Free Spins re-triggers the feature, granting another 8 Free Spins and assigning an additional special Expanding Symbol.
  • All Free Spins are played with the same bet and paylines as the round that activated them.

Optional Gamble Feature

In some locations, Rise of Merlin may include a Gamble feature that gives you the chance to multiply your prize following any win in the main game by correctly guessing the colour or suit of a hidden card. This round can be played up to five times consecutively.
