Getting Started with Gemix

Gemix is a 7-reel video slot from Play'n GO, offering 20 paylines and a colourful casino experience. The game is played on a large 7x7 grid and features cascading symbols, cluster wins, and a range of unique bonus mechanics. Bets start at £0.10 and go up to a maximum of £5.00 per spin.

How to Play Gemix

  • The game is played on a 7x7 grid where symbols drop into place from above.
  • To start a round, select your bet using the plus and minus buttons, or choose one of the five available bet amounts. Then click START.
  • Prizes are determined according to the paytable, based on the symbols that land after each cascade.

Forming Clusters and Cascading Wins

Wins are achieved by creating clusters of 5 or more matching symbols that connect horizontally or vertically. When a winning cluster forms, those symbols are removed from the grid and new symbols cascade down, filling the empty spaces. This process continues as long as new winning clusters are formed within a single game round.

Crystal Charge Features

All winning combinations during a round help charge the crystal meter. Once fully charged and after no more clusters can form, a special Crystal Charge effect is activated. One of the following random features is triggered:

  • Chain Lightning: Two opposite corner symbols emit an electrical arc, transforming all symbols hit into one of the corner symbols.
  • Light Beam: A symbol sends out light rays, changing all symbols in its row and column into other symbols.
  • Crystal Warp: A selected symbol, along with all matching symbols on the grid, are transformed into other symbols.
  • Nova Blast: A symbol explodes, clearing adjacent symbols and then reforming a matching core of symbols in the grid.

Super Charge Mode

If you continue to win on additional symbols after triggering a Crystal Charge, you can super charge the crystal meter. When fully super charged before cascades stop, all wins in that round receive a 3x multiplier. Super Charge can only occur once per round.

Exploring the Worlds of Gemix

Gemix features several different worlds, each with unique patterns and wild symbol mechanics. Each world contains three patterns, which must be cleared by achieving wins on highlighted positions on the grid. Completing all three patterns in a world allows you to advance to the next world and awards the World Bonus, which grows with each win during the round.

Unique Wild Symbols in Each World

  • Miner’s World: Up to 10 wild symbols can fall from above, replacing regular symbols on the grid.
  • Princess’ World: A wild symbol starts at the edge of the grid and spreads to adjacent symbols, moving toward another edge.
  • Wizard’s World: Up to 8 sticky wilds appear and remain fixed for one round or until a Crystal Charge is triggered; they do not drop down or get removed as part of winning clusters.

Each wild substitutes for other symbols to help form winning clusters. Wilds are removed if they are part of a successful cluster, except for the sticky wilds in Wizard’s World.

Game Actions and Controls

  • Changing Your Bet: Use the five bet selection buttons or the plus and minus buttons to adjust your stake.
  • Paytable: Access the paytable to see symbol information and potential prizes.
  • Start: Begin a game round with your chosen bet amount.

Unfinished Games and Malfunctions

  • If your game round is interrupted, all game information and any placed bet will be saved until you resume the game.
  • Unresolved bets on unfinished rounds will be void after 90 days and the funds forfeited to charity. Any malfunction voids all pays and plays.
