Exploring the Clusterbuster Feature

A locked cluster sits at the centre of the reels. By winning with clusters adjacent to the edge of this locked area, outer tiles unlock. Breaking all these tiles opens the cluster and reveals a prize. The Clusterbuster’s status resets with each new spin.

Game Progress and Feature Unlocking

Blobster Clusterbuster progresses in three main stages, each tied to unlocking key features. At the start, all features are locked. These are tracked through three indicators above the reels. Winning clusters next to the central 3x3 UFO illuminate parts of the ship, representing progress. When all lights are lit, the next feature in the sequence unlocks and is triggered on the following spin. Once activated, features may be randomly triggered in future spins while playing at that same stake. More than one feature can happen in any one spin if multiple features have been unlocked.

Occasionally, when just one segment remains to be lit on the UFO, Blobby may activate the final segment and trigger the Clusterbuster feature.

The order in which features unlock is:

  • Upgrader
  • Frenzy
  • Supersize

After all features are unlocked, each subsequent activation of the UFO awards 10 Invader Spins.

Feature Details

  • Upgrader: Unlocked at the first level of progress. Blobby upgrades between 8 and 24 random low-paying symbols (not part of a cluster) into random high-paying symbols. During Invader Spins, this range increases to between 11 and 31 symbols.
  • Frenzy: Unlocked at the second level of progress. Blobby transforms between 5 and 20 random symbols into wilds, which substitute for all paying symbols.
  • Supersize: Unlocked at the third level of progress. Blobby chooses between 2 and 4 high-paying or wild symbols and expands them to the size of a 3x3 Super Symbol.

Invader Spins Bonus Round

After all features (Upgrader, Frenzy, and Supersize) are unlocked, the UFO grants 10 Invader Spins each time it is powered up. These free spins begin immediately. Features are triggered more often during Invader Spins, and wilds are available only through the Frenzy feature within this round.

Global Multiplier in Invader Spins

During Invader Spins, the UFO may be activated up to three times:

  • First activation: Awards a global x3 multiplier.
  • Second activation: Increases the multiplier to x7.
  • Third activation: Increases the multiplier to x12.

Each activation also provides an additional 3 Invader Spins, for up to a possible 19 free spins in total. The multiplier resets when the Invader Spins round ends.

Game Progress and State

Progress related to features, including locked symbols and clusters, is saved for each stake level you play. You may switch between stakes and retain distinct progress levels for each. If you receive free spins from a promotion, your prior progress is retained and available when returning to the same stake. The game saves its state permanently for each player and stake.
