Getting Started with Baron Samedi

Baron Samedi is a video slot game created by Yggdrasil. It features 5 reels, 3 rows, and 25 fixed paylines running from left to right. Players can place bets ranging from £0.10 up to £5 per spin. The gameplay combines traditional slot action with unique card collection mechanics for added variety.

Symbols and Basic Rules

The game contains 8 regular symbols that deliver wins when 3 or more identical symbols land consecutively on a payline. There is a wild symbol which substitutes for all regular symbols, increasing the potential for winning combinations. Wilds can appear randomly in the base game and may also be awarded via features during Free Spins. The Free Spin symbol is exclusive to the base game, while the Mystery symbol only appears during Free Spins and respins.

Card Features and Collections

During the game, players have the opportunity to activate special features called Feature Cards. These cards, once triggered, are added to a Card Collection, which is only accessible during Free Spins. Special Features

Voodoo Respins

If 2 Free Spin symbols appear in the base game, a respin is triggered with 3 collectable Feature Cards awarded for that spin. The activated features are applied during the respin and added to their respective collections.

Free Spins Round

Landing 3 or more Free Spin symbols in the base game triggers the Free Spins feature, with 3 Feature Cards dealt each round. Any card collections completed during Free Spins are activated after the Free Spin session concludes.

Extra Free Spins

Completing a card's collection during Free Spins awards 3 extra Free Spins. If more than one card collection is completed in a single spin, the extra rounds play out in the order they are activated. Completed collections reset once filled. Extra Free Spins are played using the average coin value collected for that card.

How Winning Works

  • Your total coin win for a spin is the sum of all payline wins on that spin.
  • To calculate a payline win, count identical symbols in sequence on a payline starting from the far left. Only the highest win per payline is paid.
  • The coin win values for each symbol and sequence length (3, 4, or 5 in a row) can be found in the Pay Table.
  • Free Spin symbols pay as scatters, not through paylines.
  • If a sequence starts with three wilds, only the highest possible combination is paid.
  • To determine your total win in cash, multiply your total coin win by your chosen coin value.
