Getting Started with Area Link Phoenix

How to Place Bets

Every spin has a set cost, determined by your total bet. The minimum bet per spin is £0.20, and the maximum is £5. Your betting amount is based on the total you choose, divided by the cost of the 20 fixed paylines.

Understanding Paylines

This slot features 20 fixed paylines. These are set patterns across adjacent symbol positions on the reels. To win, matching symbols must land on a payline from left to right, beginning with the first reel. Only the highest win per payline is paid out, and wins from different paylines are added together.

Wild Symbols Explained

The Phoenix acts as the Wild symbol in Area Link Phoenix. Wilds can substitute for all other symbols apart from Fireball symbols, helping to complete or enhance winning paylines. Additionally, Wild symbols can form their own winning combinations when appearing on a payline.

The Area Link™ Feature

The Area Link™ feature may activate whenever one or more Fireball symbols appear. Each Fireball is collected to a matching coloured egg positioned above the reels. The type and combination of collected Fireballs when Area Link™ is triggered determines the Phoenix Upgrades awarded during the bonus.

  • Yellow Fireball symbol prize values are based on your total bet.
  • When Area Link™ triggers, Yellow Fireball symbols lock into their positions and award 3 respins.
  • Landing additional Yellow Fireball symbols during the feature locks them in place and resets respins to 3.
  • The feature ends when all reel positions are filled or all respins have been used.
  • At the end, all prizes from locked Fireball symbols are awarded. If all positions are filled, the GRAND prize is awarded.
  • The multiplier used matches that of the game spin which activated the feature.

Orange Phoenix Upgrade

Triggered by the orange egg, this upgrade gives a random multiplier of 2, 3, or 5 on every spin of the Area Link™ feature. Each Yellow Fireball symbol that locks in is multiplied once by the assigned multiplier.

Magenta Phoenix Upgrade

When the magenta egg triggers the feature, a second Area Link™ reel set is awarded, each with 3 respins. Each set plays independently. The feature concludes when both sets have finished their respins or filled all positions.

Red Phoenix Upgrade

This upgrade becomes active when the red egg triggers the feature. Red Fireballs appear and instantly award the prize values on all locked Yellow Fireballs. After awarding, each Red Fireball is replaced by a Yellow Fireball.

Multiple Phoenix Upgrades

If more than one Phoenix Upgrade is triggered from a base spin, all upgrades are active during the Area Link™ feature. When Orange and Magenta upgrades are present, the multiplier applies to all new Yellow Fireballs on both reel sets. If Orange and Red are combined, the multiplier applies to the Yellow Fireball created after a Red Fireball event. Where Red and Magenta upgrades appear together, Red Fireballs only collect values within their own reel set.
